PUTB has outsourced its Internal Audit function to IA Essential Sdn Bhd (“IAE”), an established governance, risk management and internal audit consulting firm since 2001 with presence in Malaysia and Singapore.
Presently, the CEO of IAE, Mr. Chong Kian Soon is overseeing the internal audit function in the Company. Mr. Chong is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Public Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (CMIIA), and Certified QAR Assessor of IIA.
In addition to internal audit services, IAE is also engaged by public listed companies in Malaysia and Singapore to undertake pre and post listing governance compliance as well as risk, corruption preventive and ESG reviews.
